About [BFN]

What Is Faith Night?

January 27th is the second annual Chilliwack Bruins Faith night. We hope it will be an inspiring night of hockey, groups, families and faith.

Faith Night will provide opportunities to see and learn about faith based service agencies within Chilliwack, like Hungry For Life or One Life One Chance. Camps, schools, and church youth groups are all invited to come and promote their service at tables and booths.  If you would like to promote your cause,  you can find out by going here.

There will be pre-game music played by a local band.  More info on the band coming.  The band will also play during the post-game free skate.

Why Faith Night?

Faith in God plays a significant role in many people’s lives including  hockey players.  Hockey players find peace and meaning in the ups and downs of life and the game.  Being a Christian doesn’t make them soft, rather it helps them be courageous, determined, focused and play hard.   Prayer helps them work through the unique challenges that athletes often go through.

We recognize there are also many people in Chilliwack who have faith in God and would value and appreciate an opportunity to see their two huge passions in life come together - God and hockey!

Other sports have hosted Faith Nights.  Other WHL teams, Major League baseball and pro sporting events have all run Faith Nights.

We are trying to do Faith Night in a way that makes sense to us in Chilliwack.
